In February 2005, Jonathan Fanton, President of The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation announced a $250,000 challenge grant to the University of Ibadan.
The first of its kind for UI, MacArthur and the Nigeria Higher Education Foundation (NHEF) is issuing a challenge to all alumni to raise $250,000. The MacArthur Foundation will match your donations dollar for dollar.
