I want to reach out to you that being a scholar of NHEF has been and will continue to be a pleasure. I, therefore, write this testimonial based on the experience and impact I have enjoyed from the foundation, NHEF.
There is a lot to write about my experience and the impact of NHEF on me; I will begin from the orientation camp. Starting from the first day of NHEF orientation program, the first motivated practical experience I learned turned out to be a great gift for me. I, including other scholars, was taught: “how to write an effective CV.” Before then, I keep wondering why a lot of firms have not accepted my internship offer; but now, NHEF has broadened my horizon with the tips regarding how to impress the employer with the aid of effective resume. I am also proud to say that I have been writing CV for graduates through the lessons acquired from the Foundation.
Aside from that, I discover, during the orientation program, that communication is among the most professional tactics you can make use of in order to impress your employer/supervisor. I could recall Faridah Usman asserted during the dinner night: ‘if you happen to be dining with your employer/supervisor and you pack a large portion of food in your plate, it communicates greed and you could be sacked probably or not employed as the case may be.” My mind resonates on this each time I remember the word “communication.” This is one of the lessons I can never learn in the classrooms as we are only exposed to theory other than practical.
Also, this testimonial would not have been comprehensive if I neglect to acknowledge the interactions we were provided with during the second day of the orientation program. I met a lot of professional individuals in diverse fields and was able to interact with them without any restriction. During the conversation with different professionals from various firms such as Banwo, Sankore Investments, and lots more, I got to know what is required of me in the labor market.
Finally, I would like to keep promoting the name of the foundation considering the fact that I am a scholar and the immersed contributions of NHEF to the lives of the Nigerian youths. My testimonials, about the journey so far, are beyond what I can exhaust because there are more to talk about.
I will always be available to serve the foundation.
Thank you for providing me with the opportunity to be a scholar of the foundation. It has been wonderful!!!
